Effective July 1, 2008, The Peoples Bank of Mullens became FIRST PEOPLES BANK.  The transition will become noticeable over the next few months. This change reflects our intent to expand into new markets, and is one of many initiatives now under way to refine our focus on quality and customer satisfaction. 

 

“Our company hasn’t changed, and the employees that our customers have come to know and trust over the years haven’t changed.  The change in the name reflects only our goal to be perceived as a regional institution,” said R. L. Bowling, President and CEO.  “We remain dedicated to providing the best banking services possible.” 

 

FIRST PEOPLES BANK will continue to operate the main office in Mullens and the branch bank in Pineville.  Also, in late 2008, a new branch bank in MacArthur, Raleigh County, WV, is scheduled to be in operation.  This new branch will provide our customers with the full-service banking opportunities that they have come to expect. 

 Our dedication to serving the needs of our customers is what made us successful as The Peoples Bank of Mullens, and that same dedication will define us as FIRST PEOPLES BANK.
